You’re seeing the site for building owners. Fit doors for a living?

Building control

Heating and lights that follow the people, not the clock. The doors you fit, driving the heating and lights.

We’re building it now, and we’d rather tell you than pretend. The idea: the access system already knows who’s in the building, so the heating and lights should too. Heat the floors that have people on them. Dim the lobby when nobody’s about. Send the electricity bill a strongly worded letter.

We’re building it now, and we’d rather tell you than pretend. The plan: read the Modbus, BACnet and KNX kit already in the building, run it from who’s badged in at the doors, and share the on-site gateway with the camera recorder.

In development

Planned: the doors report who is in the building, and building control, which is in development, turns heating and lights on only where people are. Doors WHO’S IN OCCUPANCY Building control IN DEVELOPMENT Heating Lights

A timer runs a schedule. Bolt will run the building. The badge-ins you wire, driving the plant.

Most building management heats to a clock. Ours is being built to heat to the access system, so the radiator is only on when somebody is there to feel it.

  • Everyone working from home

    On a timer

    Heating on at 07:00 anyway

    With Bolt (planned)

Nobody badged in, so it stays off

  • Late meeting on floor 3

    On a timer

    Floor went cold at 18:00

    With Bolt (planned)

Floor 3 stays warm until they leave

  • Empty lobby at night

    On a timer

Lights on until the timer says

    With Bolt (planned)

Dimmed once the last person is out

Built to talk to the kit you’ve already bought. Read the kit that’s there. Don’t rip it out.

Buildings collect controllers from every decade since the eighties. We don’t plan to rip them out. We plan to read them, and show the lot in the same dashboard as your doors.

It isn’t shipping. Yet.

We’re choosing a handful of buildings to try it first. You get a direct line to the people building it, a say in what it does, and the occasional pizza.

Tell us about your building. We’ll only email when we have news worth emailing about.
